Further Worms: Armageddon Details Released |
|
Hyperion Software have just released further
details on the Amiga port of Worms: Armageddon. Such things as game
features, new screenshots and an FAQ can be found on the Hyperion
Website.
As you probably know, Worms: Armageddon is the final installment in the classic Worms series of games which has had massive success on a variety of systems. Originally, Team17 didn't have any plans to convert it to the Amiga, however, due to the great guys at Hyperion we are going to see a game that many regard as the best in the Worms series.
Some of the features of the game that really stand out include the ability to use resolutions of upto 1024x768 with a GFX card, a massive range of wild and wacky weapons, loads of different game modes and also something that really adds a new dimension to the game, Internet support. This is something that was lacking in all previous Amiga incarnations of Worms, it was mentioned for Worms: DC however it never appeared. The abilty to play against your friends over the Internet is something that I see as a massive features and i'm sure many other will agree.
At the moment, to play the game, you will need either a 060 or PPC. It is also looking quite likely that the game may be gfx card only, however, an AGA version will be released uf it can cope. Hyperion will also be releasing an AmigaNG version of the game when the machine sees the light of day.
