After much delay, Digital Images have released first screenshots of there forthcoming Wipeout 2097 port. The game which originally enjoyed much success on the PSX most definately looks the part as you'll be able to tell by just looking around this page.

These very screenshots will go some way to putting to rest the murmours that this game would never actually make it out onto the Amiga. There is still a hell of a lot of work to be done to the game, however, at least we can be safe in the knowledge that is actually exsists now.

Speed wise, nothing has been said as yet. The game is currently !00% C based which means speed isn't great at the moment. I looks as though the game will actually require some sort of 3D hardware to run. There is talk of a software renderer, however, it is looking unlikely.

Aa for a completion date, again, nothing has been specified.
