I first brought you news of this game a couple of
weeks ago, well now I have some more details and some screenshots to share with
you.
The Prophet is an RPG game of the style that the Amiga hasn't seen for quite a long time. It is being developed by a team called Lost Legends which consists of Mark Ford & Jason Grant. It is set for a commercial release with Alive Mediasoft.
The Prophet is a very non-linear RPG, it has no real fixed route. Basically you go where you want and do what you want. You can discover plots within plots, go around helping people or even just simply kill for money and power, the choice really is yours. The quests that will come your way in the game will shape the game accorinding, completing one may open or close another. Then theres the people of city, will see you as a good or bad guy?
In the city that the game is set in there are loads of different locations set in over 50 different types including shops, taverns, guilds and lots more. The game features a unique learning system which allows you to choose how your charactor will advance while traveling through the city, you can choose such aims as being skilled in magic, medicine, theivery or just a plain fighter.

The game will feature loads of different monsters, each of which have there own
attack moves. Some will try to poison you while others may target there attacks
one particular part of your body, oh, and then theres the ones that just try to
beat you senseless....Of course, you'll have many means to defend yourself. You
have the choice between a number of different attacks which will vary to
effectiveness depending how skilled you are in the particular attack move.
Other features that the game boasts includes each weapon in the game having its
own individual statistics so you can see how good it is and if it suits your
needs, complex and realistic charactor health for each body area, so, for
example you could loose the use of an arm because it suffered badly in the last
attack. Also, poisons may slowly spread throughout your body, you'll be able to
graphically see how they are progressing.
The game is currently set for release on April the 19th on both CD and Disk formats (note, disk version will be HD only). Alive also have a demo almost ready to be released, hopefully, i'll have this for you soon...
