Payback is a new gangster warfare game somewhat similar
to that of Grand Theft Auto which is in development by a new team called Apex
Designs.
There isn't a great deal of information about the game available, however, I can
inform you of some of the features that the game boasts. They include
Perspective correct texture mapping, environment mapped cars, bump-mapped
reflections, realistic physics model, advanced alpha-channelling effects, 100
square kilometres of land and 4 different cities to explore, dozens of vehicles
to drive, each with their own unique handling characteristics, includes trucks,
cars, buses, tanks, boats and a few other surprises!, realistic real-time
shadows, non-linear mission structure, advanced 3d audio system. (AHI not
required.) and more.
I'm sure you'll agree that this sounds quite exciting indeed, a game like GTA is
something the amiga most certainly lacks and this could be the one to fill the
gap.
This is Apex Designs first commercial game and they are putting as much into as
they can, they are aiming to make it something really special.
To run the game will require a 020 with 8Mb RAM (maybe 16Mb) & CD-ROM. It is
recommended that you have a 030/50 or faster, 16Mb RAM, CD-ROM & a hard disk.
