Pagan Games Update.

Like this page, Pagan Games have been somewhat quiet of late, however, an update has now been released that lets everyone know how things are going.

The reason why little has been heard from them for a while, well, they have had to restructure the business a little to compensate for some new ideas in development and design, things are now sorted though and they are back on track with the 3 projects they are currently working on, Dafel: Bloodline, Scavengers & MagicK. Updates on all of these can be found below along with screenshots of the games which are spread throughout this article.

Before I tell you about how these games are doing, it is worth mentioning that Pagan are still on the look out for talented coders, designers, artists and musicians to join their team. Anyone who is interested should give the a shout at info@pagan-games.com.

Now, about the actual games themselves.

Dafel: Bloodline

As I said in the news update recently, things have been slowed down a little with this title due to a few set-backs, however, a new level designer has just been hired and things are moving along nicely again. Pagan have also ported the engine to C for extra speed and portability while level design is being completed.

MagicK

A game that not everyone knows about. It is a real-time strategy game and it is progressing nicely. The project has just been given another coder and the high class real-time 3D engine is beginning to become a reality. MagicK will bring to the Amiga a type of game yet unheard of with full 3D rendering bringing a deep view aspect to the game play. An alpha engine already exsists which allows the player to walk across a 3D landscape, interact with the enviroment and switch camera views from one player to another. Pagan say to expect a high quality game on a high spec machine, 060 and gfx card will be a minimum spec with PPC and 3D card support planned. Sounds interesting...

Scavengers

A PPC coder for this gae has been found and a demo is currently under development, Pagan say this fast paced real-time 3D shooter and RPG is going to blow you away with its PPC accelerated graphics and engrossing storyline. The target specification is for PPC users with a gfx card to fully appreciate the speed and playability of this game.
