Heres some interesting information direct from the authors concerning the latest developments with Newtron.

We formed a programming-team with the label "strange worlds" (the title reflects our wish to create whole, virtual worlds). Our first project "1mnewtron0m" became more professional with the two new members on board: Costel Mincea will act as artist and is responsible for the intro and all other animation-sequences. Oliver Schuler should be well known, as he did already the glTron-Amiga-Port and will help out with some 3D-calculations of normal-vectors (needed for light und texturing).

Please note that the project newtron now has a new title: the finished game will be called LIGHT FORCE and will be available on CD. Since the remaining of the gametitle the old newtron-pages don't exist any longer. The game LIGHT FORCE itself is completly integrated in our LA-Workbench on internet, so detailled information about LIGHT FORCE are available on http://home.t-online.de/home/AHippauf/home.htm

The new demo-version of our graphicsengine is available there, too! The new demo now features 1 or 2-player mode, several views, collision-detection, improved controls (mouse!), rather stupid enemies, score counting and so on! Check it out!

Once again we must point out, that there was very poor response from users via email! We hope to get more response with the new demoversion. Without at least 200 Amiga-Users showing interest in the game, it is not for sure, wether we finish the game or not. The more people, that tell us, what they liked or what they want to have in any other way, the more time we are goint to invest in the final game!
