Pagan Games Update.
Just a little bit of info from the Pagan Games camp. Heres what they have got to say:-

All projects are carrying on as planned despite the rumours/situation surrounding Amiga Inc/Gateway. Pagan has always stated that it will develop quality games the Amiga. With that in mind, Bloodline will be our last 68k production with Magick and Scavengers being our first PPC games. We will reassess the Amiga situation after Christmas, but we will stick with the Amiga so long as there is a userbase. Please check our website for further info.

In a move to increase productivity, Pagan Games are looking a 2D artists to join the Bloodline team. We are looking for people able to create and understand the mechanics behind creating repeatable map blocks for levels. We are also looking for 2D animators to continue work carried out on our full game Manga animation's. For more detailed information, please go to: http://www.pagan-games.com/News/September/Jobs.html

Thats it for now.

Small Gilbert Goodmate Update.
Taken directly from the page of Prelusion, a small update on their forthcoming game Gilbert Goodmate.

Just got back from the voice recording to continue work on the rest of the game. Lorne is still in Stockholm to finish up the recording which is estimated to about 3-4 weeks.

Production on the other areas of the game is running great. The majority of the people in the crew is close to finished with their work, which means only a small part of the work in all areas of the game remains.

The beta version has been somewhat delayed due to the unreal amount of work to be taken care of. It's still starting to shape up though, and with all the stuff being close to finished it's an undescribable feeling to finally see it all start to come together into a playable game :-) Until the beta version has been finished, the Beta Tester positions are still open.

A development team called MSP have recently re-started work on a Hypersports like game that they started sometime last year, details on the actual game itself are low at the moment, however, this is more of a request then to tell you about the game.

You see, they are currently after a 3D artist to help with the development of the game, preferbly someone who can use Lightwave. Anyone who thinks they are upto the job and are interested in helping please email them at dcaparros@readysoft.es

Darkage Software Update.
Darkage Software have just announced on their webpage that they will not be supporting the AmigaNG until certain things are done.....Heres the announcement.

This space is usually for our PR, but I (Paolo D'Urso, managing director and main programmer) have an important announcement to do: We won't support AmigaNG until they decide to give us technical specs and developer machines. Yes, we're working on a new, secret title, and there would be no problems to do an AmigaNG version as the code is very portable, but after the Bill Mc Ewen and Jim Collas' departure, we're sorry to say that the only Amiga we support is the "classic" one. We will finish our current titles and then see what the market will offer us. It's hard for a small company to survive developing software for Amiga, and if we don't receive support from Amiga Inc., we can't think anymore to write games and programs for this machine.

New Virtual Grand Prix Demo Released.
A new and final demo of Virtual Grand Prix has just been released on Aminet. The game that was originally released in demo form under the name of AlienF1 a few years ago has now reached the end of its development. The game should be released withing the next few days.

The demo should be downloadable from any Aminet mirror, one of which is linked below.

Virtual Grand Prix Demo [1.25Mb]

A quick update on the features of the game reveals such things as all 16 circuits from the 1998 GP season, telemetry, 3D rendered animations, digitised speech and of course, the most realistic racing simulation ever.

Development doesn't end completly here though as the author plans to improve it with one of the first additions hopefully being PPC support which may allow 640x512 resolutions.
