Napalm & Distant Dreams Release Draws Closer.
The release of both Napalm & Distant Dreams isn't far away now and we will hopefully see both sometime in February.
Napalm could be the first as the premaster has already been made and clickBOOM assure that the game will ship soon. While on the subject of Napalm, the specs have updated to make things clearer. The game will completly fill 1 CD with 400Mb of audio tracks and 250Mb of actual game files, the game will support serial play with in-game chat too. The minimum spec machine for the game is now 68020, 16Mb Fast RAM, 2xCD-ROM and a Harddrive with a 68030 being recommeneded. The recommended spec for High-Res play is 68060 with 16Mb RAM.
Distant Dreams which was formally called Wasted Dreams is now completly finished and is due to go to testing, once the develoment team have sorted out distribution, publishing will proceed. This news casts some doubt over weather Vulcan will actually be the publisher of this title, as on their homepage the game is stated as being on hold.
Update: Sad News?
A few weeks ago I brought you news that Titan Computers had cancelled a number of the titles that they had planned for release, at the time it had not been confirmed that this was true. Unfortunatly, I have now received confirmation that these games won't be released anymore.
The games in question are Shadow of the Third Moon 2 (Which may have never actually been a project that was started), Sword 2, Lost Days of Paradise, Total Combustion & Evils Doom Special Edition.
The reason for this? Well, apparently the development teams involved just got fes-up with the piracy and the small userbase of the Amiga market.
Onto slightly better news, I have been informed that Claws of the Devil and Settlers 2 will still be released. Settlers 2 has ran into a few problems which has delayed it a little, however, this should be sorted out soon.
Virtual Grand Prix.
Onto a game where things have been fairly quiet for quite a long time. Anyway, to put all your minds at rest. The game is still being developed and is virtually (and may even be completly finished by now...) finished. A release is set for sometime in February.
There will be a new demo released in the not too distant future.
