It would seem that quite a few of you have been experiencing problems with the
Napalm demo. Well, below are some tips that have been released by clickbOOM to
help you get it running. PPC owners should pay particular attention to the
solving of the problem that seems to be caused by WarpOS.
Napalm Demo Help
Demo notes:
- OS3.0 or 3.1
- Disable everything from startup, just in case
- Recommended CGX version R70
- Dangerous tool - XLoadSeg
- Certain MCP settings. Problems with MCP can be fixed by installing MCPramlibpatch.
- Disable/remove/rename ppc.library OR WarpOS by renaming their
libs ("ppc.library" and/or "powerpc.library" in LIBS: directory).
If the demo fails even after following the steps above, download these:
Updated PrepareLibs script (1K)
Main code update (50K).
It disables some of the hardware checking + the intro speech is being played after everything
was loaded.
-
a) You can now try removing the exec/audio.directpaula file which could be causing problems.
b) In LIBS:RTG/ keep only RTGMaster sublibraries that are being used by your system:
- for AGA leave only RTGAMI.library
- for CGFX leave only RTGCGX.library
- for P96 leave only RTGP96.library
I hope that this helps you as your missing out on a great demo if you don't get
it working.
