Amiga Monkey Island 3... I'm glad to see that little by little Amiga is regaining the position it deserves on the general and game market. All these games being programmed now seem terrific and have nothing to envy to PC games. I hope one day LucasArts will decide to go back to our machine (after all that's where they started) and make an Amiga version of the excellent Monkey Island III. We need to complete the trilogy!! Good luck to all of us and Amiga International, we deserve it.
Luca Diana Monkey Island 3 on the Amga would be great and who knows we may see it one day. Weather it is ported by Lucasarts is another matter though. Before they even think of coming back to the Amiga market the Amiga needs to get a standing in the high street again...
Wolfenstein Hi! As Doom is available and runs well on Amiga today, do you know if Wolfenstein 3D also is available for Amiga? If so, please let me know where to find it.
Roger As far as I know there is no Wolfenstein port available for the Amiga at the moment. I recall there being one in development a while ago but I'm not sure what came of it. Anyway, do we really need a Wolfenstein port?? Phantasmagoria Hey what happened to Phantasmagoria? It was looking cool! Why have they cancelled it!?
Ben "Bean" Cass As I remember it was due to the fact that Apple were not to helpful with letting Alive Mediasoft use the MAC Roms which were needed for these 'ports'. Due to this Alive decided to abandon the idea. However, Crystal Software (Which is run by a former member of Alive) are planning a number of PC conversions, more news on this when I get it.
2 Processors at once? I have 68040 40mzh accellatorboard in my a1200. I wonder what orginal 68020 does, would it be possiple use it some way, for multitaskin etc. Simply could someone make a program which make a possiple use two prosessor in same time prosessor of accellatorboard and orginal 020 in my case. Is this possible? Ibe U Well, I can't really see how what you are suggesting would be possible. For something like this to work I'd think a complete re-design would be required.
Explorer 2260 I think it's time to break the ice. I wish to hear some comment's about the Explorer 2060, the game that's in progres, and is going to be published by Vulcan. Did you read the Collins Encyclopeidia Galactica, and what do you think about it?
MSM/ZlB. Dear Mr. Flaherty, As I'm not sure that you received my last e-mail here is the address to the Collins Encyclopaedia Galactica - Done by those wonderfull people at the World Foundry. Hope you like it and add it to the World Foundry Page??? http://www.d-n-a.net/users/dnetEFoE/explorer/ Adrian Newman. Wow! Two letters about the same game, whats going on here? ;) Seriously, although I haven't heard much about this game apart from design plans and the Explorer Encyclopedia is does seem very good. If it turns out anything like what the authors plan then it will be one hell of a game.
Championship Manager 2 How Crap is this game. I`ve not Even been able to run a game yet As anyone else tried this pile of Sh**. Jigsey Many people have been disappointed with this game, it was something that many had looked forward to for ages and then when it arrived, to be frank, it was rubbish. Hopefully Eidos will sort out a patch for the game.
* Letter of the Week * Surfing the Internet I have the pleasure to read every day many great news about our beloved Amiga. After much waiting it seems that the pieces are slowly falling into the puzzle and Amiga is gaining again territory. This letter is addressed to the public of Amiga Nutta, the Amiga users who want to see their machine succeed. I don't think any computer for as great as it can be (and Amiga surely is) can survive without the dedication and the support of it owners and this is the time for showing this much needed support. Amiga is moving fastly toward the PPC and this is great for all of us, but no software house can develop anything if they cannot pay their employees and, it's been said many times but it is truly the one thing that could save Amiga, we need to turn our back to piracy and support original software if we want big and small companies to come back to us (and I'm sure quite many of the people out there would just love to see "Monkey Island III" on their Amiga). I have pre-ordered a copy of "Genetic Species" for PPC from Vulcan because I believe it's going to be a great game and I want more companies to develop for PPC. I am not rich, I am just a student and this is a sacrifice I am doing. I don't even have a PPC but just a 68030/8M. I have left my Amiga in Italy and I am living in the United States with the certitude that one day the computer on my desk will be an Amiga PPC. Some might think that I am crazy but if you don't support your machine don't expect that PC or MAC owners will do that for you. Buy original soft and support shareware because it's something you'll never regret. To all of us, Best Wishes for a bright future with Amiga.
Luca Diana
PPC the Future? I think that the future for amiga games looks promising although I think the game companies are moving to fast to PPC because I am sure that the majority of amiga gamers have not yet moved to PPC and the major reason for that is the price so maybe the games need to be cheaper or maybe the PPC boards need to cost less so that the average amiga gamer can buy it. Well, you are right in saying that the PPC boards are too expensive for some. The boards need some software to really puch them and make people upgrade, until we have this people may just stick with there 680x0 processor...
