Foundation Rescued. |
|
Just days after it was announced that there would no longer be any support for Foundation, well, after some developments at the World of Amiga show, support for the game has re-started, heres the full announcment.
Foundation will also make BIG return towards the end of 1999. This will not be a simple re-release of the game, it will be heavily targeted towards those people who bought and enjoyed the original Foundation and it will be designed to meet the needs of the modern (and future) Amiga. No exact plans have been set out as yet (as I write this announcement the WoA is still running) but a rough list of targets are:
I don't want to make any promises I can not keep and I must stress that a short development time schedule dictates that I will certainly have to take care with which new features I implement. This includes the TCP/IP mode. However, this new publishing deal means that financial support for future game development will return and TCP/IP mode would be on the top of the list for the first Updates. The important matter is the game-play will be restructured to make the addition of TCP/IP more important.
Towards the end of the year there will be a Demo released. It will be from this Demo that I would like you to judge the validity of the new product. It is easy to fill a web page with a list of features. Now the real hard work must begin and I hope you enjoy the results.
More details will be announced soon including the new Publisher.
