I'm sure many of you have either seen or at least heard of this game (Although, probably not on these pages). It is a new entry into the real-time strategy market and very good it is looking too, so good that alive Mediasoft have decided to publish it.

A while back there were a host of Command & Conquer type games in development including Napalm (So far, the only one released) Forgotten Forever (Which looks as though it has been forgotten, maybe forever) Maim & Mangle, Operration: Counterstrike and various others, so far of all of these only one has actually been released, however, that is soon to change. Enter stage left, Exodus - The Last War.

The game borrows a lot from the classic Command & Conquer in its actual design while at the same time it managed to remain somewhat unique in many ways. For a start, the graphics are very different, some may say odd, some of the surroundings in the game are not exactly what you would expect in this type of game though. There is a lot of attention to detail, with some of the in-game graphics looking simply stunning, and there all in 256 colours too.

The game doesn't just look good, its extremally fast too. You can expect some very nice speeds with AGA and although GFX card support isn't fully implemented yet you can be sure that it won't be slow either. The game can be running in a variety of different resolutions depending what spec Amiga you may have.

The game will consist of 40 different missions and features an assounding number of different units & buildings. Units come in various guises and are spread over land, sea & air.

Like I said earlier, the game is currently AGA only, however GFX card support is currently being worked on. Sound support in the game is done via direct hardware access or AHI.

The minimum requirements of the game is an 030 with 16Mb RAM, a harddrive and a CD-ROM drive - reccomended is an 060 with 32Mb RAM & A Graphics Card.

If the game turns out to be the hit that is most certainly looks like it could be remains to be seen, however, you can be sure that Alive and the programmers will work as hard as possible to make this the case. Release is expected to be in time for christman, more news when I get it.
