Enforce Update: New Screenshots.

Things have been very quiet on the Enforce front recently and some even got the impressionthat the game had been cancelled. This is completly untrue and the only reason that there has been no news on the webpage is because the author hasn't had time to update it.

However, I am now able to bring you some news on the game as well as some excellent looking screenshots.

For those of you that don't remember, Enforce is a action/RPG game set in a 3Denviroment similar to that of games such as Doom & Quake. The game boasts some very impressive features such as dynamic lightsources, fully polygon orientated, translucent textures, two-layered sky, realistic shading, 3D sound an much more.

The new screenshots that can be found on this page (to see them in full size, just click on them) are from the GFX card, Virge supporting version. They are in 640x480 in 15bits with bi-linear filtering.

The coders have been working on the speed of game a lot and have acheived some asounding results, with support of cyberGFX in a resolution of 320x240 the game can reach 50fps and even in 640x480 with an 060 the game is very much playable.

Here comes some of the best news though, the author has brought himself a PPC card, which can only mean one thing, yep, the game will now include PPC support. Who knows, maybe we'll even see support for the Permedia chip when software support is released.

The authors are still working very hard oin the game, especially the 3D technology of the enemies. They will hopefully be doubling the amount ofpolygons while still keeping very smooth gameplay, they also plan to improve the enviroment a lot more without the loss of any speed.

Hopefully more news will be forthcoming soon....
