An in-depth feature of this game was first seen on
these pages last November, well, work has been progressing nicely with it and
the game is now virtually finished. All that is need now is for a publisher to
be found for the game.
As well as being updated features wise for the game I have also been lucky enough to have played a demo of the game. Before I give you a sneak preview into that the game is actually like to play i'll just remind you what the game is actually about.
It is a game inspired by the populer Puzzle Bobble games, however, its not just a simple run-of-the-mill clone. It adds a vast amount of new features which expand upon what is already a good game engine to make somethine new and more complex.
I'm sure you all know how Puzzle Bobble played and the basics of this game are very similar. You have a whinch at the bottom of the screen which fires bubbles, you have to fire these at the bubbles that are spread over the gameplay area, when 3 or more bubbles make contact with eachother, they disappear, get rid of the whole screen and you have won. Bubble Heroes adds a bit more to this though with refined gameplay and things such as head-to-head combat.
The demo that I have played gives a small insight into the game, and a very nice insight it is too. Ok, its not 3D, doesn't support PPC and doesn't use high resolution graphics, however, its one hell of a good game. Maybe the reason I like it is because I haven't really played a game of this type much in the past, however, it good easily be the fast that unlike many other games nowadays its actually fun to play.

The demo also allows you to play in a one-on-one battle with one of the
charactors in the game, this will happen at the end of every world in the final
game. The idea is simple, the first one to make the other persons screen full
first wins, to help you on your way each player has there own special powers
that make things difficult for the other person, this is fun enough against the
computer and is even better in with two human players.
So what can you expect in the final release version of Bubble Heroes, well,
there will be over 70 levels to battle your way though, in-game spoken dialogue
(currently text only), 20 CDDA soundtracks and different ending scenes for each
character. In the future there is also a high chance that a TCP/IP add-on for
thw game will be made, also a GFX board compatiable version is in the works.
Anyway, surfice to say that this game should be lapped up by fans of this type of game and even thoese that are not. Hopefully, a public demo won't be that far away.
